Questionnaire Responses

Jenann Logan

We reached out to just about every candidate that we ranked with a questionnaire specific to the office they are running for. Here are the answers Ms. Logan provided.

Ms. Logan is a Republican. She's running to represent Nevada's 8th Assembly District.

Tell us about your background. What are your qualifications for this position?

I am a concerned Nevadan. I am a wife and mother of three CCSD graduates. I have felt the pressure of mandatory vaccine mandates in order to secure my job, visit a dying loved one or be denied the ability to eat in a restaurant.

I am a safety professional hired for common sense and good judgment and trained to remain calm and react in the name of safety. As a 16-year career flight attendant I wear many hats. Frontline worker, server, first responder, bouncer, firefighter and raft commander to name a few. I also have experience auditing bills for telecommunications and medicaid as well as building DIA and frame relay systems.

Do you agree or disagree with the measures taken by state officials in response to the COVID-19 pandemic? What do you think should have been done or done differently?

I believe in choices. I believe the government crippled our economy, crushing our small businesses, and creating a mental health crisis for our children. They ruled by creating fear and using an overreach of government power. We deserve choices. We deserve to choose what's right for ourselves and our families.

Many voters are unhappy with our public school system. What policies or actions would you prescribe to repair or replace the existing system? Do you support “school choice” policies such as educational savings accounts? Why or why not?

I believe in school freedom. Every child deserves a proper education in a safe environment. Many kids learn differently. Some by hearing and seeing and some by tactical engagement. A,B,C’s and 1,2,3’s verses technical. Parents should be allowed to allocate those funds as desired to fit their children. ESA’s should be funded.

Please briefly describe your political philosophy. What are your guiding principles?

Common sense and good judgment.

Family, Faith, and freedom guide me. The US Constitution is our roadmap.

Many voters are concerned about inflation and its impact. What could be done at the state or national level to address the root causes of inflation or mitigate its impact on the public?

I would like our state to be independent. We need to be a leader and quit following our big sister in California. We need leaders willing to speak up for Nevadans and audit everything the state budgets for. Transparency and tax solutions for Nevadans are needed. not a raise in taxes.

What would be your top priorities in the Nevada state legislature?
  • Medical Freedom from vaccine mandates.
  • School freedom
  • 2nd Amendment
Who or what are the largest political special interests in Nevada, and which of these do you see as having a positive or negative influence?

As a TWU 556 member I believe our unions have a big role in educating and influencing voters. There are many union workers in the state like myself and my husband.
